My 11 year old niece and i just watched Wes Anderson's Fantastic Mr Fox.
I was a little skeptical as to how Roald Dahl's beloved story would turned out especially since it was voiced by American, not British actors, even if they were heavy weights like Meryl Streep and George Clooney.
However i have to eat my words, The Fantastic Mr Fox was...
Fantastic, extraordinary, remarkable, impressive, outstanding, superb and generally dazzling.
We loved the beautiful stop frame animation and our most favourite bit was Jarvis Cocker singing Petey's Song right about the middle.
If you get the chance we heartily recommend it!

But better still, read the book : )

Although it would not have been my first choice (same reservations as you) I found myself watching it on a flight. I think the whole plane load, all ages, loved it.

I loved this movie, too!
Wes Anderson can do little wrong in my book...
